Michiel Hertz & Remond Berendsen
Michiel Hertz, founder and partner at WePrevent. WePrevent started in 2011 when our family moved into a new house and I was considering if I should install an alarm system or security cameras there. But I also immediately wondered whether there was any point in having an alarm that no one would respond to, or cameras that no one was monitoring? This is how the idea arose to develop a new way of providing security, with live camera surveillance. Together with my friend and fellow entrepreneur Remond Berendsen, we took on the challenge. After a first year of testing, the prevention of vandalism and burglary using live camera surveillance proved to work very well. The company became bigger, better and more professional and now employs 120 people. Moreover, now that the team has been expanded with Bas and Reinier, WePrevent is ready for the next step: to roll out live camera surveillance across Europe.
Bas Hertz
CEO and partner at WePrevent. In 1992, during my studies, I set up D&B The Facility Group. This started out with driver services employing students, but grew into a facilities management provider that now employs 1000 people. But I was looking for a new challenge. I found it with WePrevent, a wonderful company that I plan to take to the next level with great enthusiasm, with great people and a real entrepreneurial spirit.
Reinier Otten
Operational Director at WePrevent. I am responsible for the operation of our watch centre in Bulgaria, HR, Finances and IT. My assignment is to further professionalise the organisation and scale up the operation. Before WePrevent, I was CFO at D&B, Bas’ facilities management company. In addition, I worked for 10 years at AkzoNobel Chemicals and Unilever, in various financial and operational roles.
Joris van den Enden
Sales Director at WePrevent. In 1992, I started my career at my uncle’s security company, Van den Enden Groep. This is an all-round security company that was sold to Chubb Fire & Security in 2000. Subsequently, I held various management and executive positions at leading companies. At WePrevent, I have found the opportunity to use my hands-on attitude and no-nonsense approach to help build the further professional growth of this exceptional company. I am responsible for the corporate market and key accounts.
Arjen Neele
Sales Director at WePrevent. I’ve worked in security all my life. My graduation assignment landed a job at NVD Security in Aerdenhout, and I Subsequently I worked as an account manager at various suppliers of security products, such as Aritech, ARAS Security and Hikvision. I gained a lot of experience with various burglary, access and CCTV security systems at these companies. I made the switch to WePrevent because this is the company where I can perfectly apply my acquired experience and skills from previous years. WePrevent offers a unique service that actually prevents burglaries and unpleasant situations.
Randy Baerts
Security Officer and Manager of Customer Service Netherlands. I am responsible for ensuring internal and external data and network security. I am also manager of WePrevent Customer Service, whereby I speak directly with customers, installers and resellers. Stefan Neshev
Manager at WePrevent, Bulgaria. I am responsible for the overall CCTV process and operations in the watch centre. As a child, the idea of an ‘anonymous hero’ was a dream and an example for me. In this company, I saw the opportunity to become like my idols. Here I feel like the anonymous superhero from my childhood memories, the one no one knows, the one who fights evil and helps people, working in silence.
Ivaylo Dyankov
Executive director, WePrevent Bulgaria. I started working at WePrevent 8 years ago as a substitute operator. After a year, I was head of the control room and I took on the responsibility of handling the construction of our new watch centre in accordance with the European standard EN50518. My work at WePrevent gives me the opportunity to make the world a better, safer place. It’s an intriguing and responsible job, and I love it.
Valentin Nedyalkov
Manager IT, Bulgaria. I lead the IT team and am responsible for the IT support in the control room. I am also responsible for our information security, according to the European SO 27001 standard. The ability to make people’s lives safer is wonderful. Also, the fact that you work with real professionals is just great and keeps you excited about working at WePrevent.
Vanya Koleva
HR Manager at WePrevent, Bulgaria. At WePrevent, my main role is recruiting, selecting and building a team of reliable professionals. In addition, I actively participated in the construction of a training plan for periodic training of all employees. I am proud to work with professionals.
